I took Seanol for 3 months and still have high LDL. I am exercising, and starting to lose weight. I have stopped eating red meat to lower inflammation. I take a lot of supplements. My doctor wants me on a statin, which after seeing you, I don't want. He said to try red rice yeast, which in my opinion is a statin. I don't know what to do. The stress over this is probably raising my cholesterol! HELP!

Keep up the good work on your anti-inflammatory diet and exercise! We cannot give you specific medical advice as to whether or not you should take a statin drug or red rice yeast, but can provide general information that may be of help to you when making treatment decisions with your physician (note that, when in practice, Dr. Sinatra did not use statin drugs or red rice yeast in his female patients for cholesterol lowering). Here are some online resources which may be of use to you:

Pathology (becoming ill) is really a form of dis-ease that emerges from chaotic imbalance of mind, body and spirit. Heart disease frequently results from this disturbed relationship. When considering any illness, diagnosis or treatment, it's important to focus not only on the disease and the physical dysfunction created, but also on the human operational planes - the physical, metabolic, emotional, mental, and even the spiritual.

Pulsation...

Is the key element in health. When a cell is in a well-nourished, oxygenated, environmentally balanced state, an effortless pulsation occurs. When a cell becomes contracted due to metabolic, environmental, or emotional factors, pulsation is disrupted and healthy functioning is disturbed. The heart is the ultimate organ of pulsating muscle, engaging the energies and interactions of mind, body, and spirit.
