It all depends on why your doctor is suggesting testosterone in the first place. Typically, it's prescribed for hypogonadism or HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for andropause.
Common side effects (depending on dosage) may include gynecomastia (breast enlargement), acne, or prostate enlargement or edema. There is also concern around the effects of testosterone on prostate cancer and heart health. More studies need to be done to address this concern. |
